Developments at Haddon Grove Farm

2007 has been a busy year for new developments...

The Farmhouse opened for guests in time for May half-term this year, achieving 4 star status with Visit Britain at the first attempt! Fully refurbished to a very high standard, it has been booked every week since then through to New Year and we already have over 19 weeks booked for 2008! See the gallery for some pictures.

With space for up to 20 to eat together in the spacious farmhouse kitchen, The Farmhouse makes an ideal centrepiece for a group booking at Haddon Grove Farm.

Blue John and Riber cottages are the next to undergo the full renovation treatment. 2 new bathrooms have been installed in each cottage in November to give greater comfort and flexibility for guests. In January 2008 they will each benefit from new fully-fitted kitchens (with dishwashers, fridge-freezers and new fan ovens and hobs), solid oak flooring to main living areas, comfortable leather furniture and new, high quality bedrooms with new beds, spacious storage and thick carpet. In response to guests’ feedback, we are upgrading the heating systems in both cottages to offer thermostatically controlled electric central heating. We'll post new photos as soon as they are completed, so keep checking the website!

All the duvets in all the cottages have been replaced this autumn with new thick, snug high tog rated ones to ensure a cosy night’s sleep – early guest feedback shows these have been much enjoyed as the temperatures have (finally) started to drop after an extended mild and sunny September and October. All the linen and other bedding has also been replaced to give a more contemporary feel to the bedrooms.

Other things - Ash cottage also has a new bathroom (with WC, basin, steel bath with luxury shower over and shower screen), there is new furniture in several of the cottages with new sofas, beds and dining tables, also new substantial wooden cots, table lamps, pictures, ceiling lights and much more!
